"Our trip to Botswana was an incredible experience. The game drives in Chobe and to Savuti were unforgettable, especially the moment we saw a leopard with its prey. Something I never expected to witness so closely in the wild. We were also amazed by the huge numbers of elephants and the feeling of space and untouched nature everywhere we went. Beyond the wildlife, we really enjoyed meeting local people and discovering a bit of the culture and cuisine. South Africa & Botswana Self-drive
"Via Beyond Botswana Travel we visited this fantastic country oktober 2025. Jan and Pearl created the most perfect holiday for us. We arrived in Jo’burg, with a rental car we crossed a small part of South Africa where they also found us a beautiful retreat in the Waterberg and we drove from South to North Botswana. Even the travels were unbelievable nice, we saw wildlife crossing the road: Elephants, Zebra’s, Monkeys, Giraffes. We slept in nice country lodges, met the locals, went to Vic Falls, spotted lions in Chobe national park, went river cruising,... I can assure you, Jan and Pearl created us a fantastic trip, within budget and you do not need to be a “big wallet”. We were in South Africa in 2023 but honestly, Botswana is even nicer and also safer as a tourist. Jan and Pearl: a big Thank you from Kristien and Sven. And we will be back with friends of us!"

"I had never visited Southern Africa before. Me and some friends launched the idea. Jan immediately took matters in hand. But it always felt as a partnership in designing the trip. There was a budget, though staying in the lodges felt as we got more for our budget. We obviously came for wildlife, and we saw wildlife. But what made me more comfortable where the little things on the way. The lunch spot they recommended in Francistown, the special Biltong bar in Palapye, the nice bars in Gaborone. I even met some locals along the way (okay, one local…). Perhaps I will come back…"

"Our trip to South Africa with the children was an unforgettable experience thanks to Jan. He gave us the best travel tips for exploring the country in a safe and relaxed way. Thanks to his advice, we were able to avoid the crowds and experience South Africa in a slightly different, more authentic way. We travelled to Botswana without the children, and there too we were fantastically guided. Jan and Pearl took us to the most beautiful places, original, personal, and heartwarming. "Our trip to Botswana was an unforgettable experience. Jean and Pearl organized everything perfectly, allowing us to see an incredible amount in just two weeks without the trip being excessively expensive. The safaris with local guides were fantastic: we saw huge herds of elephants, lions, leopards, and giraffes up close in their natural habitat. Everything was excellently arranged, from the rental car to the restaurants, and we felt safe everywhere. In short: a perfectly organized trip full of nature, adventure, and unique moments that we will never forget."
